Who Can Volunteer?

WWT Ambassadors are required to have extensive knowledge of astrophysical phenomena, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to share what they know with others.

Most of our Ambassadors are astronomers at various career stages (undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, practicing astronomers, former astronomers who have moved on to other careers, and retired astronomers).  Science teachers and other educators (i.e. planetarium and museum educators) who learn to use WWT with their students can also become Ambassadors, as can avid amateur astronomers who are knowledgeable about both the night sky and the astrophysics of the things being observed.
