The Acton-Boxborough Parent Involvement Project is hosting a STEM science fair.
"Join us for Discover STEM—a showcase of interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities. Discover STEM is geared for students in grades 7 through 12 plus adults."
WWTA will host an exhibit called "Exploring Astronomy with the WorldWide Telescope"
WorldWide Telescope (WWT) is a stunningly beautiful and freely available data visualization environment developed by Microsoft Research. WWT makes the world’s store of astronomical imagery available to anyone, putting the images in context in a “night sky” view. We will set up laptops so visitors can experience WWT hands-on with our guidance. Families will learn how to download WWT and use it to continue learning at home; teachers will discover resources for teaching astronomy in their classrooms.
